A Sponge Trick to Keep the Moisture Level Steady Preventing Your Plants’ Roots from Rotting
Don’t we all want our plants to be the pride of our living rooms and halls? There is a simple trick you can make to let them grow fast. To do that, you need something from… the kitchen.
From the kitchen drawer into the plant pot
Before you repot your plants or plant a new one, you need to find a sponge, like the one some of us use to do the washing-up. It might be a piece of the one you need to wash yourself.
Put on the bottom of the pot, pour the soil and plant your beauties. That’s it!
This easy trick will keep the moisture on the right level. If you pour in too much water, the sponge will absorb the excess keeping the roots safe from rotting. If you happen to forget to water the plant, it will collect the water from the sponge.
Have you got any other gardening life hacks to stimulate the growth of potted plants?
